To the untrained eye, this may look like a kindly neighbor playing a game of Life with two little boys who live next door. But, if you look closely, you can see the grandfatherly neighbor actually teaching lessons like this:

You are more important to me than the news on T.V. or the hunting magazine that just came in the mail.
It is always best to play fair, be honest, and take your licks when the spin is against you.
College might help your career. But not always.
Life is more fun if you let your little brother play, too.

I don’t know who won the actual board game that night. (I’m not sure they know, either). But, I think moments like this go a long way in helping boys win in the game of Real Life later on.
