Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Exercise is hard work. I never wake up in the morning and say, “Hurray, I can’t wait to step on that treadmill!”

Since prayer is an exercise of the soul, it can sometimes feel that same way. Like a dry, hard, empty routine. I can’t see the calories burning away or the muscle building up when I exercise. That reward comes a few weeks later when I finally lose a pound. And I rarely see immediate results from my prayers. But, I’m not giving up on either pursuit.

If Daniel had given up after praying twenty days for a message from God, the archangel Michael might never have broken through his battle with Satan to deliver the word. Daniel 10:13

If Jesus had given up after the first time he prayed for a certain blind man, the guy might have gone through life only seeing men walking around like trees. Mark 8:22-25.

If Wilbur and Lucille Sharpe had given up on little brother Charlie after praying for thirty years, our pastor might never have gotten saved. And, we might not be sitting in these chairs today.

For the sake of all those who are fighting battles, all those who are still blind, and all those who are running from God, please keep praying. You don’t want to miss out on the message, or the miracle, or the mission.
