These men turn from the right way to walk down dark paths. They take pleasure in doing wrong, and they enjoy the twisted ways of evil. Their actions are crooked, and their ways are wrong. Follow the steps of good men instead, and stay on the paths of the righteous.

Proverbs 2:13-15,20 NLT

Tonight, our high-school seniors will graduate from Heartland Christian Academy. I don’t remember a word our speaker said at my graduation thirty-eight years ago. I don’t recall a single piece of advice.

But, I remember people. I remember the praying grandmother who came despite her frailty. I remember the faithful parents who led me to God. I remember teachers who were daily examples of right living. And, I remember teachers who were not.

Four decades from now, when these students are recalling their high school years, what will they remember about you?

Were you the guy who enjoyed the twisted ways of evil and who led them down the dark path?

Or, did you make a path of righteousness for them to follow?

Consider carefully, because your choice can make a difference in their road.
